Purpose:

Our in-house Sales and Outreach Representative is a liaison between us, our retailers and the amazing brands we represent. The position elevates what a retailer can expect from our partnerships by offering exceptional staff training, customer service, equipment demos, event planning and sales support.

Reporting to our Head of Sales, this position is permanent and full-time. The ideal candidate will live in Squamish, BC to best foster connection with our other team members, but we are open to remote candidates in other areas in BC. Our office hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday though we support flexible hours and using time-in-lieu for appointments and adventuring. The candidate can expect to be travelling for business for up to 4 months per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with our dealer base through staff training, events, sales support and customer service.
  • Maintain and grow a dynamic portfolio of sales and dealer relationships.
  • Manage and organize an extensive travel schedule in the Spring and Fall.
  • Liaise with retailers (wholesale accounts) and our brands to provide exceptional customer service. This includes answering general inquiries; providing procedure guidance & tool education; sourcing and customizing sales & marketing assets; processing and entering new orders and order revisions; dealing with delivery issues.
  • Help with showroom cleanliness and organization.
  • Help manage and organize samples, demos and products in the showroom.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Reside in Western Canada, ideally in Squamish, BC.
  • A diverse background of outdoor experience (climbing experience required).
  • Minimum 2 years experience in sales in an outdoor retail store(s) setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated individual who loves to take initiative.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Have attended numerous retail training (PKs) sessions from brand representatives.
  • A natural flair & interest in sales.
  • Confident, poised and prepared in public speaking.
