OnwardUP, became a corporate name in 2009.
We have been going full stop ever since.
A lot has changed in the last 10 years, in our business, the business landscape we participate in, the world both politically and environmentally. The roots behind the OnwardUP name have stayed the same and when I think about the new world we live in the name continues to guide us.
When I incorporated the company in 2009 I was just coming off a decade where alpine climbing, and in turn becoming an IFMGA mountain guide, was my main focus. OnwardUP, the name, pays tribute to the values and needs and is rooted in the pragmatic philosophies that climbing mountains helped clarify.
The name is an abbreviation for the term ‘Onward and Upward’. It refers to moving forward and higher.
Progression.
Progression in quality and consciousness, in everything someone does.
Learn from the past, don’t regret it.
Move forward. Keep going.
Sometimes just making a decision is the best decision.
Simplicity is the key. Less is more.
It refers to our commitment to ourselves and our stakeholders:

We will help you(the individual) learn to streamline and elevate your outdoor experiences and knowledge.
In other words: get better, evolve, strive for excellence, get on with living the most powerful yet simple lives while we still can.
