The OnwardUP Family is Growing!
We’re excited to announce that we’ve added a new marketing position to the OnwardUP team. Strategic growth has always been a fundamental piece in OnwardUP’s evolution, and this new position is an important next step in our progression as a sales and marketing agency. We represent some of the best outdoor brands in the industry and our team is passionate about promoting and celebrating the amazing work they’re doing. We’ve added this new position to elevate our marketing capacity and, ultimately, to better serve our clients and dealers. We’re thrilled to bring Emilie Gibeau on as our Marketing Coordinator and think she will be a great new addition to the team.
Born and raised in Canmore, and the daughter of a grizzly bear biologist, Emilie is passionate about wild places. She has a background in documentary film and seeks to inspire deeper connections to the environment through her work. Shortly after completing a Bachelor of Commerce at UBC, Emilie took a job as a wildlife guide in the High Arctic, where she fell in love with the harsh climate of the Canadian North. When she wasn’t hiking under the midnight sun, Emilie worked in a number of marketing roles for organizations in the outdoor industry as well as non-profits. Emilie now lives in Atlin, BC, where she runs her own marketing company, Cottongrass Media.
Emilie joined the OnwardUP team last month, just in time for our bi-annual general meeting. This was the first time since March 2020 that our team has been able to get together in person and that alone made it a cathartic week for everyone. Basing ourselves out of Kimberly, BC, our aim was to chat about all things OnwardUP but ultimately to reconnect as a team and spend some quality time outside! Over those four days, we enjoyed some climbing, fishing and mountain biking amidst our team meetings and sessions.

Hi Everyone! I’m excited to be working with such a talented and passionate team whose values are so much at the forefront of everything they do. The AGM was my first day on the job and, what an opportunity to dive headfirst into the organization! Having recently moved to a small town near the Yukon-Alaska border, where socializing has been relatively limited, I certainly underestimated the boundless enthusiasm sales reps are capable of. I’m so humbled by the level of commitment and attention to detail each team member brings to their work and can’t wait to get going.
I left feeling like I had a great understanding of where OnwardUP is headed, and I am so grateful to have had those few days to get to know the team! I’m really looking forward to diving into the world of OnwardUP and exploring how this new marketing position can elevate the work this amazing organization is already doing. And for future AGM’s, I will undoubtedly bring more caffeine to keep up with this gang of extroverts.
